Derek A. Keightly, Esquire

Derek A. Keightly joined Stuckert and Yates as an Associate in 2024. Mr. Keightly received his law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2018. Prior to law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Penn State University. He resides in Pipersville, Pennsylvania with his wife and son.

 Derek is a member of the Pennsylvania and Bucks County Bar Associations, as well as the Younger Lawyers Division and Bucks County Chapter of American Inns of Court. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania, as well as in Federal Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In 2024, Derek was awarded the Pennsylvania Super Lawyer's Rising Star Award for General Litigation.

 Prior to joining Stuckert and Yates, Derek was an Assistant District Attorney with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. There, Derek gained invaluable experience in criminal law by prosecuting hundreds of criminal cases over several years. His experience ranged from negotiating guilty pleas for offenses such as DUIs or possession of a controlled substance, all the way to securing a conviction at trial of a criminal defendant who had committed multiple violent felonies. Derek also assisted with the Bucks County Veteran’s Treatment Court program, which sought to rehabilitate military veterans whose criminal behavior was connected to mental health issues they had developed in connection with their service to this country. Following his time in the District Attorney’s Office, Derek worked at a prominent Bucks County Municipal Law Firm, where he gained valuable experience in matters involving municipalities, including civil litigation and zoning matters.

At Stuckert and Yates, Derek practices in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation, and zoning, among other areas.
